Workshop 3: Deconstructing the message of advertising

1. Objectives of the workshop
To create advertisement tag lines.
To promote effective collaboration among group members.
Gaining insights into the fundamental principles of advertising.

2. The modus operandi of the work shop
Division of students into 10 groups
The workshop 'Ad-dress the public interest' was conducted on 9th July 2024. Totaly 10 groups in the class. Each group is assigned to create their own tagline related to a product and make it into an advertisable form. Caption writing for any product by each member of the group followed by the presentation. We advertised the clock very creatively. Our ad was all about timing. After the preparation, each group presented the advertisement made on a chart. The afternoon session was engaged with video shooting of relevant issues of social concern.
3. The assessment of the yield of the workshop
The workshop was very interesting and productive. We made an advertisement using creativity. To improve the quality of interactions among the participants, including collaboration, communication and teamwork.
